Most people in western countries own at least one item made by Nike, but there are lots of interesting facts that are not yet known.
At first running shoes were unstylish and uncomfortable when compared to today. The sneakers made by the tire companies were heavy, burdensome, and vulnerable to causing the feet to bleed even after short runs. Track coach Bill Bowerman studied the weakness in sneakers made by tire companies, and it is at that time he came up with a perfect shoe that could offer comfort to elite athletics. Together with Phil Knight, they co-founded Nike in the year 1964. Upon unveiling, the company majored in footwear and later moved to apparel, the company has grown into a sizeable worldwide institution and advertising powerhouse that owns more than half of the U.S. footwear market.…
